Halex86 Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 Need some help. is the fiesta supersport block a 711m? ive got what i thought was a supersport block in my garage but it says its a 791m on the engine code. can anyone help
105Speed Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 I was reading in Classic Fart this month about blocks and the first two numbers are the year so 711m is 1971 So your 791m is 1979 which is about right for a SuperSport.

The 71 bit is year the block was introduced and carries this number on through all the years. So all blocks from 1971 onwards will be 711m. The Fiesta fwd blocks are 771m (1977) the Supersport was introduced in 1980. and should have the 771m block
