Cookie Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 All the OSF's I used to buy I had the intention of restoring, and apart from the cortina I always did, never made any money on them and regularly lost by the time you break down the amount of hours I put in The only one I ever really bought with the intention of keeping was my cortina, and alas after over 2 year had to face facts that as there was no incentive to sell it and not having any money to go and buy the things I wanted to for it, it was never going to be done. As for every day cr*p, I buy on average 4/5 cars a week to break and scrap, very rarely is there any point in mot'ing and selling them anymore, cars aint worth Jack! Strip em and scrap em mate, will get more back for them, the days of making decent money on mot failures are long gone, apart from the occasional 'really nice' example that comes along.
lee_capri Posted January 21, 2008 Author Report Posted January 21, 2008 your right about not worth mot'en them, brought a td vectra for £100 with 5 month's tax and test on it :lol:ran it around till there was 14 day's mot left and still drew £200 on it int that sweet, wish i could do more like that i used to be a every-day car dealer till 5yr back that's when the money fell out of motor's now i just have a tipple here and their, and dont mot any-thing realy but what i have pick up is well worth to some one most probley but i just dont seam to get round to doing any-thing,take my wagion for starter's brought all the right bit's to build a serious escort pusshing about 170bhp and it all still sit's in bit's the only thing's left to buy are the break's and paint for it
