MightySprocket Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 a good kicking some stupid bint has reversed off her drive into my misses' mini and bent the door so bad its split on the seams at the bottom. My misses is a Carer and was parked there because she was looking after the culprits mother. She only droven off and is denying having hit it, despite the fact her car must be a mess as she has hit it so hard! They live in a really expensive/respectable neighbourhood in a new 3 story detached 5 bedroom house... obviously very dishonest people We have reported it to the police but I think im gonna loose out on this and ill have to claim off my own insurance... as you can imagine im F@#*ING FUMING

BTW you are not supposed to reverse off the drive on to the road, it's in the highway code. Which is what I tell my next door neighbour when she complains she can't see the road when we park legally outside the house with the vans (in an official marked out space half on the pavement). One day she reversed out of her drive and hit one of the vans. I didn't see it, but the bits of the back light were there to see and the light on the car was taped up. I didn't bother saying anything cos it was the back of mk2 transit a luton and the car came off worse (it's a Proton ). Now she has a new car, and is so bad at parking parks it NEXT DOOR BUT ONE so she can just drive on and off the public road!!

jimbo Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 I hate dishionest people, and thoise who don't accept responsibility for their actions. Get your camera out and get some photos taken. Surely, your insurance people will support you in pursuing her if your claim can be proven. If she continues to deny, could go forensic and take paint samples, etc. It sounds like the damage to the mini is quite bad, so the cost of repair would justify them chasing this one.
