old skool freestyler Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 im looking at getting another one as i got rid of mine ages ago so what make should i go for same as me old kx125 or try something new what do you suggest i like the cr 125 or 250s oh the decions
kirk10 Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 ive always had hondas and never any trouble with them also they are the best at handling depending on your size and so on to what cc you get 125s are a good fun bike can throw them in the corners and hit the clutch 250s on the other hand can be a hand full at times especialy when pump kicks in i had a 250 last time and it had me off pritty bad busted shoulder never road a kawasaki yet so couldnt compare the 2
old skool freestyler Posted January 30, 2008 Author Report Posted January 30, 2008 im quite heavy i could handle a 250 i recon its only going to be used for blasting around the field oppisite me work but ive only rode 1 250 but that was old:lol: so are they alot faster then the 125s or just more grunt if you know what i mean
Nettles Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Always found the Yamaha YZ range to be bloody good bikes. 125 and 250's are the better choice.
Mr Sam Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 i love my honda 125 .......its not a crosser but i do use it as one
old skool freestyler Posted January 30, 2008 Author Report Posted January 30, 2008 i found this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/kawasaki-KX125-20 ... dZViewItem think something like this would do me for a bit
old skool freestyler Posted January 30, 2008 Author Report Posted January 30, 2008 Always found the Yamaha YZ range to be bloody good bikes.125 and 250's are the better choice. yea the yzs ive herd there good what they handle like then as ive never been on one
Savvi Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 I got a TTR250 enduro which is great around the farm my workshops on ................ only the magneto has packed up so the battery keeps going flat.
kirk10 Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 250s are heavyer and alot more grunt if you make a mistake with a 125 its forgiving but a 250 make a mistake and it will have you off lol alot less rebuilds on a 250 tho my old bike cr 250 2003 as you can see i used to love it lol polished every thing up then 2 minutes in the field was plasterd in shit
old skool freestyler Posted January 30, 2008 Author Report Posted January 30, 2008 now thats what im on about
old skool freestyler Posted January 30, 2008 Author Report Posted January 30, 2008 thinking of something like this 4stroke 250 any good?
kirk10 Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 good bikes plenty of grunt with them easyer to handle than a 2 stroke as no real power bands with them but if they go bang expect to pay around 1200 quid for just the top end stick with a 2 stroke if its just a fun bike i say and the power bands are awsome
zetecmk2 Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 keep your brain in your head and get a trials bike!!! :
old skool freestyler Posted January 30, 2008 Author Report Posted January 30, 2008 can you get a 2 stroke verson of that bike then?
kirk10 Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 yes can get white plastics for any bike if it was me and i wanted just a fun bike i would get a cr125 nice and smooth to ride good handling alloy frame
old skool freestyler Posted January 30, 2008 Author Report Posted January 30, 2008 i know i can get the plastics just didnt know if they did a 2 stroke 250 yz but cr sounds like a idea aswell

Kelvfoozinda Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 We had a KX250 till some c*nt stole it in november. Was a 2002ish bike, was the fastest out of an old KX250 (1995 ish) and a KTM 220 we had before. Oiled up plugs quite a bit though in the slow bits of enduro races, but mostly made it to the end. Fast as feck too!
