60ftman Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Normal ACR Alternator wiring: Main (big terminal) lead to battery +ve Small (ind) lead, through warning light to ign switch. Easy!

flyingbanana Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 i did this with my old mini, what you need to do is get the haynes manual out ,look up your wire diagram for your car, and you will need a volt meter,pen and poaper,then work out what circuit is what in the box ie what connects to what through the box, then once you have worked that out you need to get them to be connected to each other with new connections, if i recall correctly you will need to add a new wire to the alternator from the box wires
radar tech Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 wiring on back of alternator as mentioned before , On yer regulator spice the 3 thick wires togher and then splice the thin ones together aswell. Sporting escort owners club website has a HOW TO in its tech section with diagram
