  1. We saw that on the A32 travelling South........
  2. Escort is officially 'kissmyrs' but we call it 'Escy' Old Anglia was 'Danglebox' ST is Zachary (ZCY Plate) Maverick was 'Pikeywagon', new Maverick is 'Pikeywagon 2' Bikes: Fireblade is 'Florence' Daytona is 'Daisy' VFR 750 is 'Violet' and CBR 600 is 'Harriet' Don't ask me why - daughter names the bikes!
  3. Most radiator repairers (serck etc) will repair fuel tanks. They will usually thoroughly clean the inside and outside as part of the repair. Cost a bit more than the petro-patch/fibreglass remedies, but it's a pressure-tested permanent repair.
  4. They do V8 fruit juice..........
  5. .......And re-gear the blower, and replace the rose-joints on the 4-link, and rewire the engine bay with proper multiple connectors... ...and fit a new kitchen for the missus...... ....and finish the rebuild of my VFR750..... ....and redo the paint on the daughter's CBR600....And Nissan GT.... ....and drink beer, eat too much and have an argument with a member of the family. Isn't Christmas great!
  6. Try Honeybourne Mouldings. Been around for years and produce very good fibreglass panels at really cheap prices. http://www.honeybournemouldings.co.uk/price-frontwings.htm
  7. I think cars with superchargers hanging out of the bonnet look ridiculous. Particularly OSF's
  8. Write back to the DVLA, told them when you sold the car, who to, and his address. I had this problem a couple of years ago when I traded in one of my cars at a dealer. The dealer sold it on, and the 'new owner' not only didn't tax it, but parked it everywhere he could. on double yellows, in disabled bays etc etc. I had a load of correspondence with the DVLA and two councils, but it was only after I suggested that they remove the car and crush it the next time it was ticketed that they started to take me seriously. Cost about £4 in stamps, but I got the fine dropped in the end.
  9. Definitely the 1mm cutting discs for the parts you can get to. Sharp bolster chisel for the tight areas. Works a treat!
  10. Black. Has to be black. Escorts look awesome in black.
  11. Used to have similar Ronal Racing Rims on the rear of our old Anglia. Great wheels.........
  12. Complete new ignition electronics. 'Funny car' style drivers roll-cage. Fit the headlining that's been in the cupboard for three years(!). Get some of the paint re-done as it's starting to look a little tatty.
  13. They cannot fail the engine on emissions as it is not the original engine for the car. The emissions test goes on the age of the engine and NOT the age of the car, so if they "..cannot accurately assess the age of the engine..." (you're not going to tell them are you?) the only emissions test they can carry out is a 'Visible smoke test'. It sounds like your testing station need to read the manual. If you're really pi**ed, go back and ask for an appeals form, that'll get them twitchy as the Ministry almost never uphold fail items.......
  14. How much do you want for the Anglebox?
