fezza Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Whats peoples prefared top mounts,i need to get some for my mk2 soon but not sure what ones are the best to use, roller bearing top mounts seem to be popular, are these best suited to fast road cars
rodbasher Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Hi I have two brand new burton multi hole top mounts unused still in packet if you are interested as well as 2.25 springs and coil over conversions kit ??
johnny_h Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 RBTM's all the way unless you wanna mess about with the geometry.
fezza Posted February 2, 2008 Author Report Posted February 2, 2008 Ahh right,so if you have eccentric or concentric top mounts you need to bugger around having them all set up and what not took me a few moments to work out what RBTM stood for but im with ya now
kevmk2 Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Eccentric ones are good for adjusting castor and camber, most companys only sell them to suit the large top mount holed mk2s,not the later small holed top mounts. They are around £65 each from west wales rally spares. You are gonna need some sort of RBTM with the cossie engine in the car to help lighten the steering, as its usally heavy as fook
