bmxdave Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 todays gt racer? How shit where those stewards? A guy touched the dust a couple of times so they started giving him the full load of questions why. They actually race over there while trying to preserve the car. Thats like playing football but saying dont kick the ball too hard incase you damage the surface of it. What a load of swank! Proper cars are for proper driving, and not for cissies. I guess it explains why you dont hear much about historic (or vintage as they call it, although that applies to pre war cars) racing over there, they cant do it.
hotrodholty Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 i watched it mate , wtf the cars were built to be raced, used and abused, you might aswell go for a nice A road thrash. "you had two wheels off the track in turn 6, can you tell me why?" what a load of the round ones, its called racing how many times do you see F1 drivers hopping over rumble strips in billion pound cars? if you've got the money the buy and race one of them cars surley you have the money to repair it should it get pranged, i like nothin mare than seeing a couple of old motors really battling at outlon park gold cup, they look better with the odd battle scar. i think all that programme proves it that yanks are shithouses who dont know how to race on a proper track.
bmxdave Posted February 4, 2008 Author Report Posted February 4, 2008 Yep. Americans = Gay. There was an Aston Martin parked up at the Ford Fair at Silverstone last summer. I dont know if anyone saw it, but it was tatty as fook. Battle scars all over, paint chipped off the wire wheels and just general use and abuse all around. And it was one of the most evil, cool and georgeous cars ive ever seen im my live. There was the two 'scalextric' cortinas parked just by it, and im a big mk1 4dr fan, but i didnt even notice them. That to me was a proper car. They should all be like that or theyre being wasted.
