:thumbsup: going to respray the cappa,but it's well shiney,did rub down a bit and the primer just run's and go's spoty,what's the best way to get the suface,is the secreat only to dull the paint

You need to degrease the panel first or the primer/paint will react . Just wipe it over with some thinners first :thumbsup:

Yep as Gaz said, but don't forget to scotch off the shiny paint. Go to a paint shop and ask for a pack of Red Scotchbrites and then rub the panel with one of these to dull the paint, then clean the panel with panel wipe or a bit of thinners :wink:

if you flated the old paint and made sure it was clean then it

 

sounds like your putting it on to thick to me

if its running and holes apearing in it

as the solvents pop and try to escape

try lighter coats mate and hold can further back
