Daggle Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 What boiler you got? I had problems with mine, had to get the pressure back up, might also need some of the rads balancing out? You know turn down some on ones that are working well, turn up the ones that aren't. More then likely that the boiler is running low on pressure though, have you checked that?
lee_capri Posted February 6, 2008 Author Report Posted February 6, 2008 the presure is fine have checked it and toped up, did'nt no that about turning the heat down on some would inprove the other's,but the hall way one is stone cold

lee_capri Posted February 6, 2008 Author Report Posted February 6, 2008 she like's the new rad in the bath room it's just the one not working she said that it is typical when i do some thing it is half done has usal
Mk1-Maher Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 Try bleeding every rad in the house of air and see if the pressure drops at the combi gauge if it does, there should be a couple of switches just below the boiler (open them both up, only if you have a foggiest of what your doing) that take the pressure back up then bleed the rads again and continue this till the system is hot all through, other than that i can only think it could possibly be an air lock in the flow pipe that you would have put in. its been a while since ive done any central heating stuff so sorry if im not much use. Good luck

Admin Mk2Jo Posted February 6, 2008 Admin Report Posted February 6, 2008 I would quite like one of those rads in my bathroom but I don't think I'll let Ian loose with our plumbing
lee_capri Posted February 6, 2008 Author Report Posted February 6, 2008 it's easy once you get the jist of it i think i fitted the whole of the bath room has it was 1960's and done the kitchen includeing putting pipe's in ect, nothing to it just has long you dont mind a leek or two to start of with it
marky4 Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 if your sure the pressure it right 1bar when cold 2bar when hot and you have bleed all the rads (with the boiler off) then make sure all the rad valves are fully open (both ends of each rad) then see which rads get hot, the ones that get the hottest 1/2 to 3/4 close 1 of the valves on each rad and then hopefully that will push the water to the one's that are not working. if that does not work shut all the rads that are working and leave agood 10 mins or until the one's that weren't working start to get hot make sure both pipes at each end are nice and hot then 1/2 open the valves on the other rads, good luck
