richie_stix Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 ... i was out for a drive in my capri enjoyin the responsiveness and speed of my new clutch in the wicked weather on my favorite roads near my house and i thought to myself 'hmm, this the first time in ages my car has been running how i want it to'. so i treated my car to some new spark plugs and a good ole hand wash. then i set out on the drive back to uni 100 miles away at about 8.45, when barely two miles into the fookin journey a really shit soundung noise came from the back of car, so i quickly pulled over in a convenient pub car park! after a tst spin round the car park i was sure this was a job for the AA.. do i phoned em up amd they sent out a contrator company to assist. ok, I'kk have a pint whilst i wait i thought, but i had no cash and the pub had no cash machine or had a 10 pound spending limit! balls, no drink! the guy arrived at ten. Luckily the guy who came used to race cappas (although he claimed he had a 2.1 pinto putting out 270bhp, hmm?) and instantly recognised the problem as abusted diff. so after much deliberation, it was decided that fhe would take my car to a deppo where another driver would take me up to london! all cool, we finally get back to my road at 12.30. now my road is thin with cars parked all down the side, barely wide enough for his flat bed, so we needed to make a swift drop off as its a bus route. He lowers the ramp, i hop in to start it, so he can drive off as soon as I'm off (having already done the paperwork). but no, it's not over yet. the bastard wont start as its evident the battries gone flat... so we try to bump start it off the ramp, no dice, so we try bump starting it in reverse down the hill, but no! and as we were trying this some prick came hooning round the corner in some little shit box and nearly took out my car! In the end we man handled into a parking bay and that was that! so lesson learned, never trust your car!
