The law is back to front when it comes to protecting yourself or family and property. At least America has it right on that one. If someone breaks into your house, you can shoot them or beat 7 bells of s**t out of them without fear of prosecution

Some pissed chavs crashed a nicked motor into a blokes house and when the old bill saw it they drove past, even though the homeowner had called 999. Him and his neighbours chased and caught 2 of them. Police turned up an hour later and nicked them. Our wonderful justice system gave them a REPRIMAND! WTF?
