I saw the foo fighters shortly after they formed at Leeds Town And Country Club, where Nirvana always performed.

 

Dave Grohl was being heckled by this guy who was a bit drunk, so he invited him up on stage. The guy obliged.

 

Up on stage, Dave Grohl asked him what he said. The guy said 'Nirvana were miles better than you. Kurt Cobain was a god' (or words to that effect).

 

Grohl looked down and said 'Those are cool trainers you've got there. Can I have a look'.

 

So this guy takes one of his trainers off. Grohl looks at it for a couple of seconds, then throws it into the audience. 'Now fook off' he says.. The crowd go wild!
