hi peeps, i was in the bp at felbridge tonight when i noticed a kid about 12/13 watching me in my car, my car gets alot of attention but this was diffrent! the kid just stared and i could see him in the o/s door mirror, then he stood at the back for 30 seconds or so, then went round the n/s and stared! i allways have people look and comments made, most kids ask what it is etc,you know what i mean, youve got osf's! im not one to generalize as ive had a mohican for 25 yrs and hate assumptions being made, but, this kid looked like a pikey!! slicked 50's hair and bad clothes etc (hard to put into words, now im trying to write) he got into a burgundy 4x4 (didnt really see the driver) and they followed me for about 5 miles! i booted it off a roundabout and lost them, saw them heading towards horley (a23, merstham 10 mins, pikey central) dont know if the recent thefts and sightings have made me paranoid, but it just didnt seem right!! most kids will talk to you way before that long etc, anyway, the reg was p982 tgj, could someone check this reg? daggle? anyone?

not showing any insurance

Cant the police get involved if he's driving without insurance. Then they might just find out other things thats he's illegally involved in (if he is)

he might be on trade insurance an that does not show up on the computor

ive beeen stopped a few times by the police as they thought i had no insurance but ive got traders so they allways let me go :ykt:

Still worth Jo giving the details to the Police ?

If its a genuine driver i'm sure they wouldn't mind.

I no people are worried about there cars but you cant ring the police and give peoples registrations just because they look at you or seem to be driving down the same road as you this is an shocking quote plus the police will probably tell you not to waste there time :?

I understand what your saying but Jo has spoke to the Police and they want info ?

So if it was me i would tell the Police that the car has followed me, it fits a describtion similar to a vehicle seen hanging around other similar cars

and that quite a few of these cars have been stolen. He already said it took a while to get him off his tail.

Or he could leave it and find in 3 months and another 3 stolen cars time that it was the vehicle linked to the thiefs ?

thats exactly what i think, dont wanna ignore it but dont want to post up the reg of every burgundy 4x4 that is behind me! but even without attention drawn to 4x4s, the whole event seemed a bit strange! but its not illegal to look at cars!

i got dealers :lol::lol:

So have i .............. and if i drove a red 4x4 and got stopped i'd be p***ed off.

Having said that if i'd spent 2 or 3 years restoring or modding my Old Skol Ford and it got nicked i'd be really pis**ed off.

I've a couple of cars nicked over the years 1 being a low milage 4x4 sierra which i heard being taken ............. luckly got it back (or not so lucky if you think that way) it makes your heart sink as low as it can be and the true words of "gutted" comes to mind.

We also got burgled at home and we never felt safe again so eventually moved.

So all joking apart if you want to make light of someone elses misery that's fine, only i haven't heard any of the lads whose cars have already gone missing laughing !!!

As said before i would personally report it regardless.

P.s No offence mean't to anyone in paticular just my point of view through bad experiance.

Ok i'm a "plonker" and "got it wrong again"

I know you have to keep spirits up through these things but it did seem, to someone who lives away from the area, that fun was being made of a serious thread.

I'll get my coat !!!
