no m8 i brought both sets when i had my mex.baz has got matt black on his orange mk1.i think both look good but its up to you m8.

Matt/Satin Black are best on yellow, IMO. I've got a feeling that's what was fitted from new.

 

I've fitted a couple of sets in recent years and they are pretty easy to do, just use plenty of soapy water so you can move them into position on the car. The only measurement you'll need is for the roof stripe, the distance between the gutter and the edge of the stripe, I'm affraid I haven't got this to hand though. Side stripes are straight forward for positioning because they sit either side of the door handle and above your wing badges. Make sure they wrap around the door edges, I've seen some cars that have stripes cut short on the panel gaps and I think it looks poo.

Here's a couple of pics of a bad gloss stripe kit. Apologies if it's someones on here but the shape of the stripes is wrong and the gloss just doesn't look right.
