Underseal??????

Hi. took the carpet up today from my escort, found some rust etc, also under the black covers in the floor that back onto the chassis, i want to fill them with underseal/waxyoil,

 

I just wanted to know can you buy kits to pump the waxyoil down into the chassis rails and sills etc?

Yes you can buy Waxoyl kits i done my chassis door bottoms etc with the stuff.

 

Heres the kit you want mate:

Use that to fill the chassis sills etc with through the access holes and then do the underside of the car with tetra shutz underseal thats what i done on my one and it worked and treat and looks well smart to

Try doing Waxoyl on a hot day - when freezing cold it doesn't penetrate as well, if at all and clogs up the sprayer...

 

Also, they say you can mix in white spirit or even used engine oil with it... Makes sense to me...

remember to ivnest in some rubber gloves, goggles and some goos thinners to get the spray off yourself cos ti goes everywhere!!!!!!

ok cheers everyone, got a chap coming to see the car about repairs, hes said about £300-£400 to put right should be going inn about 3 weeks.

 

If i was to put the tin on waxyoil in a byucket of hot water would that make it more like water and run everywhere? im going to plaster everything with it tbh, just not mechanicals and exhaust.

yeah i need to be doing this once ive cleaned my underside up...Gonna put it anywhere the scum from the road can get too!

can you apply it over the old underseal or do u need to remove it?

 

but just remove any lose underseal?
