Bilstien front strut questions.

Am going to be rebulding the wedged billys for my mk2 escort in the next day or two, just a few questions............

 

1, I need some new wheel bearings for them just to be on the safe side, if i order normal 2.8 capri wheel bearings will they be the same?

 

2, They are fitted with the large bilstien inserts with a slot cut in the top and like a fool i have lost the large top nut ( 24mm spanner size) and the bottem nut (17 mm spanner size) that fits on the insert. Whare can i get some more from?

 

3, Does anybody remanafacture the stearing arm bolts for these struts as all the ones i have got are knackerd.

 

4, And i shall be fitting princess 4 pot calipers to them, do i use the normal 2.8 capri caliper bolts with the spacer washer or do i have to use special bolts?

 

5, Are rally design roller top mounts any good? At £60 each they seen a little pricey.

1. the 2.8 wheel bearings are fine

2. try escortec or gs escorts who are site sponsors they may be able to help or try GAZ suspension directly

3. same as 2

4. the spacer kit for the 4 pots will have the bolts in it if you have vented discs or if not i think you can use the normal bolts from what i remember
