lee_capri Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 right on v8i cappa it is injection i have noticed that the fuel pipe's could be changed for one's with a larger bore. if i was to change to a larger bore what efect would it have, would it be-able to more reposive then what it already has it has more volume of fuel in the pipe's or would it do nothing at all i no the injection rail would stay the same but the fuel pump is at the back i just wounded if it would make any-differance in the proformance
Tom Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 just means the fuel lines would have more fuel in them mate it would still be the same pressure as before you did it
M.Bird412E Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Won't make a difference to fuel pressure that why you fit an adjustable fuel regulator, standard on cossie's, also know as a power boost valve................... By fitting a larger diameter fuel line, it will increase the volume of fuel delivered, maybe handy on a v8 but i doubt it'l make a diference unless your experiencing fuel starvation! By fitting a larger diameter line it may drop the fuel pressure being delivered by the pump. so it may need tweeking if you decide to do it. Hope this helps.................
lee_capri Posted April 10, 2008 Author Report Posted April 10, 2008 ermmmmmmmm been thinking very hard about this was thinking i can put better pump on bigger injrctor's,and make the fuel rail twic the size by makeing my own my theroy is more juice more power do you agree with that theroy
M.Bird412E Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 More air too! And the faster it goes in and comes out the better! Thats my theory on lots of things.........................
