Mate have you ever encountered on a 1:18 minichamps escort the tube that the screw goes into on rear axel splitting? Mines has, ive tried every thing from clossing it and filling gap with glue to filling up where screw goes into with glue and then drilling it out so screw can be fitted all to no joy, axel is now sitting lop sided right side being higher than left so when all 4 wheels are on car looks like a low rider tried moving it and it split again same place:evil: was trying to remove leaf springs and link it, really dont want to put standard axel back on as spent 3 months shortning modding this one so it looked linked and ran wider rear wheels.

Yes, done this before.

 

Hit the craft or hobby shop and buy some solid 4mm tubing, cut the old axle of and drill through the diff, slot the new tubing through and drill and tap the ends.

 

Worked for me!
