MM77 Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Ok peeps looking for suggestions on a car (doesnt necessarily have to be an old skool ford - in fact i'd prefer it not to be). My current garage includes the following: Subaru Impreza WRX (weekend toy), Escort Mk1 (project track car), Fiesta Mk1 (project track car number 2). See whats missing?? Yep a daily driver. So what i'm looking for is a daily driver, and must be: - newish (ie, newer than say 1995), - rear wheel drive (or AWD), and - powerful (or relatively). I've been looking for a while now but nothing meets all my criteria. So give me suggestions
MM77 Posted April 23, 2008 Author Report Posted April 23, 2008 Sapphy Cos? Oooh nice one. Good call * rushing off to ebay now *
MM77 Posted April 23, 2008 Author Report Posted April 23, 2008 whats price range??? lot of choice for a bmw Looking sub £1k. BMW's dont really do it for me to be honest (well the newish ones anyway). I was looking for Audi's by they're mostly FWD (which is useless IMO).
GT_Jim Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 you can get audi quattro coupes for about 1k and with 20valve turbos too

escortmad79 Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Won't Ashes to Ashes push up the prices of Quattros the way LOM has done with Mk3 Tinas?
antz Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 i know its older than 1995 but you cant beat a volvo 240/740/940 worth pennies, RWD, not bad on fuel and if you get a GLT or GLE you get everything electric, leather, sports suepsnion, alloys and if you get a turbo version its even better.

Guest MK1gaz Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Nissan 200sx , you'll get 2 for a grand
MM77 Posted April 23, 2008 Author Report Posted April 23, 2008 Nissan 200sx , you'll get 2 for a grand Would be absolutely ideal if not for the possible can of worms. If I secured a good one then gold. But 9/10 have been fkn caned so it's a bit risky IMO
sab6024 Posted April 25, 2008 Report Posted April 25, 2008 Ford Scorpio Go for the 2.9 Cossie and you got RWD, Electric pack and a donor motor when you get bored of being laughed at in the street
