johnny_h Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 been trying to get all myelectrics sorted for MOT and now the only problem I have is when I switch from dipped to main beam. The lights go off. Any ideas before I take a large swing at it?

Just check there is voltage at the headlamp plugs on dipped beam and main beam (multimeter or a test lamp)... I have known two main beam bulb fillaments to be blown at the same time before. If there is no voltage, work your way back to the relay and check to see if that has voltage. Hang about... you in tomorrow geezer??? PM Sent

Deano1351 Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 Mine does that as well, i thought it was just the main beam part of one of the bulbs had blown causing neither to work, havnt tried fixing it yet but im sure they both worked when i got it, ill try a couple of new bulbs tommorow and see if that sorts it
