LEONMEX Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 i guess you mean the 4 spokes?? yes they will fit no probs
72mk1escort Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 Yes the RS 4 spokes as fitted to the MK1 RS2000's etc Will they foul the rear arch over bumps etc
antz Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 nope. they will only foul the front arches if you slam it 2 inches and have 70 profile tyres if you got 60 profiles itll be fine
72mk1escort Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 nope. they will only foul the front arches if you slam it 2 inches and have 70 profile tyres if you got 60 profiles itll be fine Cheers Antz
72mk1escort Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 So will the wheels sit further in than the arches at the back so they will clear them?
antz Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 what you on about boyo at the back your whels dont turn so itll be fine. the axle doesnt move (enough) and they are fine. even on a slammed car. at the front they are fine with 70 profile tyres but if you slam it and use 70 profiles it will msot likely rub as remember your front wheels turn if your gonna buy a set. BUY THEM, STICK ON SOME 185/60 RUBBER and slam the car on its arse. itll be perfectly fine
72mk1escort Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 Basically what i mean is will the wheels sit further in than the rear arch lip or will they catch on bumps etc Thanks for all the info so far.
antz Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 sit further in the arch lip than what? just fit them and stop worrying
glenbo Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 mines lowered 2" and when going over bumps fast as you do the tyres used to rub the arches so i snipped the lip and bent it up and also fitted anti tramp bars, dont do it now
bronze4door Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 my car wax standard and they fitted straight on the rears did not catch the fronts only did on lots off lock and hard into a bend but that was on standard front sunspension with a dodgy bodged up anti-roll bar when i put the mk2 legs on they were ok even hard into a bend
richyc Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 you will need unf nuts with tapper washers, may have to roll the rear arches as done to the rs 's. should be no trouble.
