warrenk Posted May 12, 2008 Report Posted May 12, 2008 Hi guys, i bought this car 2 weeks ago from the 2nd owner that had it for 24 years, it's a bit neglected and rough around the edges, got some rust but solid otherwise. the 1300 motor was pulled in 2001 and replaced with a 1600Sport motor. Coz of the short gearing it runs out of breath very fast. Would have liked to keep it standard on the outside but the front wings are very thin on the top, will have to replace them with fibreglass ones and seeing as thats gunna happen i will arch the car onetime. still deciding on a wheel for it... I was thinking of a 13" superlite, 7J or 8J but with bubble arches im not sure wich width i must go for, otherwise a 15" 8J superlite will do, although a friend of mine has got a set of 4spokes laying in his cellar that came off a racecar. i just dont know where i will get tyres for it... it's about 9 or 10j wide. I dont know what happened to the front bumper but i will be junking the rear bumper and the interior and cage it up. Will only be keeping the 6dail clocks, need to have them fixed though, only the 4 small gauges is working. Car used to be a metalic brown color, paintwork is very tatty and the mirrors on te car is useless. will post pics as i make progress
