Years ago I used to follow the build on his white Mk1 Escort in the projects section. I searched for it yesterday, but couldn't find anything. Anyone that remembers it knows what happened to the little white 2door?

Thanks mate, We only get the Yokohama A539 and the Nankang AS-1 here in SA. I was looking for a wider tyre for the car in my avatar, currently wearing 175/50 A539's on 8J wheels.

I mostly get acknowledgment from the wrong crowd.. ,

In South Africa the prices have about doubled in the last 18-24months..

I'm running a standard Cortina master cylinder with BMW 4pots and vented discs, everything still fits in behind the 13" wheels. No servo, braided lines and the brakes are sharp, think I was just lucky to get the pedal ratio and the piston sizes right. Was good enough to stop my Mk1 when the previous owner had a 2.4 N/A YB in it, put the whole setup over into my crossflow powered Mk2

Thanks bud, Regarding changing thing on this car.. You don't find the Sport's in this condition. I'd rather keep it the way it is with the set of wheels and lowered suspension. This car is currently fitted with 13" 7J Superlites, and the other Mk2 I have mentioned previously is wearing the Tom's wheels now and a painted front spoiler. Will post a pic up soon

Looks nice, what tyre size are you running there? Looks wider than a 175/50R13

Forgot to ad. My is running a 3.54 ratio, also on 175/50R13's... At 100km/h or 60mph its sitting on just over 3500rpm
