surfingturnip Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Erm iam ignorant so will ask who is Ian Curtis? lead singer of joy division
Mr Sam Posted May 27, 2008 Author Report Posted May 27, 2008 Erm iam ignorant so will ask who is Ian Curtis? lead singer of joy division had serious mental issues and eventually topped himself a few days before they were due to tour america must of heard 'love will tear us apart' ? the remaining members then formed New Order taking Bernard Summer as the lead singer, famed for going out and re-inventing music with such singles as 'blue monday' just think of your favourite singer/song writer and think how cool it would be to meet them, i know its only his grave but i feel that bit closer
bmxdave Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 Yeah, Ian Curtis is a legend. I have a friend of a friend who lives that way and ive gotta visit one day.
Mr Sam Posted May 27, 2008 Author Report Posted May 27, 2008 quality avatar there theres no end of 'new' New Order videos on youtube
mk1super Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 Heard it once or twice sam, must admit turned it off due to being a heavy metal fan
MightySprocket Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 the 'Joy Division' were the doris the nazis used to spawn the 'New Order' i.e. the perfect race... apparently both great bands, ahhh the hacienda... good times
Retromotorsport Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 The Hacienda ... hehe New Order talking money " we must have made so much money out of all these number 1 singles.. and album .. a tour .. wheres it all gone " " aparently we own a club ..and its costing 100k a month to keep open " "ohh we own a club.. when did we buy that " Or something along those lines
MightySprocket Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 yeah, ripped off big time by the late Tony Wilson, believed by some to be manchesters biggest gangster
Mr Sam Posted May 28, 2008 Author Report Posted May 28, 2008 yes joy division was the name of a nazi brothhle, there were called warsaw before that
Stu_B Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 Heard it once or twice sam, must admit turned it off due to being a heavy metal fan I love my metal but 'love will tear us apart' is a fookin' awesome timeless tune
