Airbag Posted May 31, 2008 Report Posted May 31, 2008 I'm painting my Capri and it's come out like orange peal.. how can I avoid this? I'm using cellulose paint mixed 50/50 with some high gloss thiners, I'm keeping the gun about 8 inchs away from the car when spraying it and it has a good sized fan.I am running about 30 PSI.
Rick Posted May 31, 2008 Report Posted May 31, 2008 it goes like that when the paint is too thick or the paint is curing too quickly/ best thing to do if its going peely is to pile the laquer on then cut it all back with 1200 and g3 it. will come up with a bit of hard work just done that with my bonnet and its still a bit peely but not too bad now
