Ive taken my old 2litre axle off and have swapped it with an american 8" with lsd and sierra discs & calipers and spax shocks.

Now Ive basically fitted everything back on the car loosely(except the prop which I'll be doing later) and then I was just going to go round and tighten up all the nuts and bolts.

Now I would have thought (and this is where you lot come in) that due to it having 10 contact points with the car it will pull itself into its natural position :?

But I seem to remember a thread/discussion about the angle of the pigs head etc.

Can someone enlighten me as to the correct method

as above just to stop the diff hitting the body on hard launches, if your still on leafs and shockies (ie not 4/5/6 linked) you should just bolt it all together and it'll line up fine
