mossy Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 How do i remove the gearstick from a 4spd? is there a hiddenbolt somewhere im missing that i cant see, only thing stopping the gearbox removal!
Deano1351 Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 On my escort, it had loads of little bent over square tabs for want of a better of explaning it, i just bent these straight and undone it!
over_head_cam Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 That's the way. On a standard 4 speed there is a metal lock ring with lots of little tabs on that bend down onto the box. bend these up a little bit so you can unscrew the stick. JD
