As above really went to pull away and it went bang its totally blown 1st gear is wont even move in first! :sad:

 

So i am extremely fooked off after all of the hard work to put the new engine and clutch in and clean the gearbox up and put it on and fill it with nice new oil and then that happens what a load of crap :sad:

 

I am seriously thinking to get rid of it soon its just been one thing after another and ive spent all my money doing the engine and engine bay up etc so it will be a while before i get the money together for another box unless me Dad or one of me mates lends me it :sad:

Know how you feel, ive owned my scort for about a year now after getting clean robbed on it, got it fixed and out fo the first run and guess what? yep you guessed it the gearbox is scrap, takes the heart outta you :(

Good luck getting a box, you should have no worries there :thumbsup::D

 

Its a really bad feeling ive had it a few times now i think it goes with having an Oldskool Ford there always seems to be something or another breaking :lol::roll:

a box wont cost much mate, £20 and a mornings work will sort it. years ago i had a 1300 xflow mk 2 and did 2 boxes in a month. . i did use to drive it like a plonker tho :oops: . if your total stuck ive got a known good box. car looks good, dont give up :thumbsup:

i know the feeling mate.

 

get on the blower to one of the parts companies and they can ship you a satdnard box for not a lot of money :thumbsup:

Thanks for the offer mate but got one sorted getting it tonight i got the old one out in and hour which i thought was good :mrgreen:

 

Gonna get the new one fitted in tomorrow :thumbsup:

i saved for bloody ages, worked my guts out to get a nice old ford, brought my 100e and was chuffed to bits with it, 3 days later the big ends fell out. i was bloody gutted. put it in the garage and left it for ages. but when i finally got it back running it again it was an awsome feeling! stick with it bud they all go wrong at some time!
