stevepeanut Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 I've done dozens of paypal payments to people, and they clear instantly. But 3 times in the last 2 weeks, payments have came up as "e cheques" and paypal says it clears like a normal cheque. Anyone else had this, whats going on? ps 1 of the 3 is my stickers from OSF so I have to wait a week for it to clear
PAUL MANN Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 yea i have, every time i pay with paypal it takes about 2 bloody weeks crap
antz Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 yea i have, every time i pay with paypal it takes about 2 bloody weeks crap you should be able to swap it to instant payment. itll be the way your account is set up matey. email paypal and they should sort it to isntant payment
Savvi Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 My mates just bought something for £400 off ebay , and he had to pay with some cheque thing, he needed it urgently for work and it took a week to clear , the seller would not let the goods out until then. Knowing Ebay its a way of keeping all our money in their bank account for a week earning interest !!!
stevepeanut Posted June 12, 2008 Author Report Posted June 12, 2008 thing is, I ordered 2 things the other day, 1 cleared instantly, the other came up e cheque and took a week, and I aint touched my settings
Savvi Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 I thought my mate said it was for things over a certain value ?
emu Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 have you had a new bank card through recently? If so then you need to update your cards details with paypal
Smudger105e Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 have you had a new bank card through recently? If so then you need to update your cards details with paypal I had that problem, emu told me about the card ( top man!), I added a new card, and it all works fine again now.
mk1mexico Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 As Emu said, or if a card is coming to the end of its life I.E about to expire.
emu Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Glad it worked for you two. I had the problem agaes ago, One day I could do instant payment and the next I had to us e-cheques. Paypal didnt make it clear that that was what had happened though, just leave you to work it out for yourself
