Wasn't there a test match between an F1 car and the equivalents in bikes and boats a few years back? As I recall Jenson Buttons Honda trounced the bike in the straights and the corners.

 

 

I remember the very test on tv. It was however a very strange unfair test.

 

The bike was a domestic Superbike, which is a production bike that anyone can buy, which is nowhere near as fast as a GP bike which is a proto-type bike and is the two wheeled equivilent of an F1 car.

 

It would be like racing an F1 car against a Touring car, both very different machines

 

Was as i recall a bsb fireblade, now had that been a moto gp bike against a f1 car id have put odds on the bike, but ya needs the doctor riding the bike steve

I love F1, and regularly attend. But its all pre 66 when I go
