Perywinkle Posted July 3, 2008 Report Posted July 3, 2008 I've just bottled up a gallon of plum wine, a gallon of apple wine, a gallon of mead, and a gallon of tropical fruit juice wine If you can keep yer mits off it for 6 months or more while it's maturing you can get a good brew. My wines came out between 14 and 18% using champagne yeast. Plenty of books and websites on the subject

Pipster007 Posted July 3, 2008 Report Posted July 3, 2008 If you have a load of potatoes, you could knock up some Poitin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poit%C3%ADn
FredTransit Posted July 3, 2008 Report Posted July 3, 2008 If you have a load of potatoes, you could knock up some Poitin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poit%C3%ADn yeah if you want to go blind or get arrested, or be blown up with the still. I used to make cider, but out of a kit. The hardest part is not drinking it too soon!

Pipster007 Posted July 3, 2008 Report Posted July 3, 2008 yeah if you want to go blind or get arrested, or be blown up with the still. But that's the exciting part...............................A bit of danger is the "Spice of life"
