Can someone tell me if this is just the cam?

Im getting a brand new cam fitted next week but i just want to check thats all it is, sounds lovely dont it

Sounds like it, have you checked valve clearances ?

 

It was a common fault on the earlier engines, the oil feed bar used to clog up and starve the cam of it's oil.

 

They used to last for ages running like that though !!!

the oil bar was clogged so i fitted a new one, didnt make any difference

Not a tappet i'd say, to deep a tone IMHO

all i will ask is does it do all the time of worse when hot?

if worse when hot or doesn't do it at all when cold it could be a small end ?
