bmxdave Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 Im thinking of selling up. I need something faster and more modern. 1962 100e. 2.1 pinto, 5 speed box. Coilovers up front. Capri calipers and discs. GT drums, RS diff. all the usual spec. Its a bit rough around the edges though and needs a roof lining and a few odds n sods and soon itll need a respray or some blowing over. Whats it worth? I havnt got a clue. Everything on it is pretty much brand new. People have qouted 140bhp plus. With twin carbs or bodies even more. Its bloody quick and ive timed it to 60 around 7.3 seconds, and ive seen 120mph in it although i try not to abuse it.
Rick Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 120mph in a 100e is mental as far as im concerned
bmxdave Posted August 9, 2008 Author Report Posted August 9, 2008 Its genuine too. The clock only goes to 80. I drove it with my sat nav and held a constant speed and noted the rpm at certain speeds in each gear. then used those numbers to work out the speeds by the revs. Its probably been quicker then 120 though.
5hane Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 *gulp* how much fater do you want to go in my dads rs at 70 it feels like 100+ and my ears are bleading at that point
NginEEr Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 when i was over doing over 100 in the fiesta i was bricking it must be even worse in a 100e id love it
bmxdave Posted August 9, 2008 Author Report Posted August 9, 2008 I had a ride in a 360bhp sierra cossie... thats how fast. It was a bit mad like. Wasnt too unstable or anything but there was lots of wind noise. Only reason i backed off was incase my window went through or something.
Copey Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 i have had my capri off the clock, still felt pretty stable
