does anyone use a shift light on their old ford?

For my new engien i have installed a TIM rev counter into my air vent thats more accurate but to be honest i cant see the fooking thing...and someone mentioned to me 'if you have time to look at a rev counter then you arent pushing hard enough!' which does make sense to me

I was thinking about a shift light instead but they are a tad expensive:

does anyone use one?

Are they hard to fit?

Whats the best type to get and where?

i dont want one thats stuck with a rev counter. just a little box i can hide somewhere or fit where it wont stand out so well would be brilliant for me.

any ideas would help.

cheers razersedge.

i had a look at them but i dotn really want any extra gauges stuck on ym dash. i had the 52mm tim one cos it fits in my air vent but i cant see it.

i like the idea of a small shift light or sequential box which i can stick to my steering cwl or somewhere that doesnt involve a hge rev counter
