1300 crossflow what oil?

I have put some 10/40 semi synthetic oil in my 1300 crossflow mk1 escort as i had nothing else laying around i thought i had some 20/40 but it must have got used

 

Will it be safe to run it off of the 10/40 semi synthetic stuff?

you want 20/50 basic minal oil,that stuff proberly be to fine for an older engine

A second hand 1300 xflow is cheaper than the oil, so you can take your chances.

Personally I would swap it for some of the "Classic" motor oil from Halfords.
