trouble findung a handbrake part

I have a rear disc convertion on my Capri. The bit that goes from the handbrake to the brake cable snapped and I'm having trouble finding a replacement for it. Anyone know what it is likely to be off of? It's about 300mm long.

thats what I thought. Aparantly it's not off of any ford! Cheers tho! I think I'll end up making one.

could you not go to a motor factors and spend ages looking though there books to find the part?
