capri_steve_2.8 Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 thats because ive crushed them all down the yard:twisted: no offence but i think its the worst ford ever made and people who put 200 bhp plus motors in them are driving death traps these cars should be re registered as kit cars as for putting a powerfull engine in grannys car dont i cant understand why anyone would buy such a silly car when for bit more you could have a proper ford ie escort mk1 enough said
caprinerd Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 personally if its old skool and ford it dont matter what it is everyone has there own taste in what car they want if some one wants an anglia then it there choice and for the big engines with power being dropped in the amount of work that has to get carried out to do this is huge cutting the bulkhead and rebuilding it is no mean task and if some one goes to the trouble of doing this then i ant see them not up grading other area`s for the safty and for the extra power ive looked on the oldskool restoration and rebuilds pages quite often and seen what the anglia buys /girls do and its amazing work. and the finished creation is a credit to them yes an anglia in its standard form was a very slow and dare i say it non handling car but the people on this forum work wonders with them, if you see a moddy one just have a chat to the guy that done the work and he`ll clue you in to what has been done even just to drop a pinto in it oh by the way the anglia meet is not just for ford anglias it for people in anglia part of the country

Anyone driving Anglias now, especially if it has 200 bhp, is not driving an Anglia as originally built so the death trap bit is a massive, unfair, over generalisation.
