exhaust wrap

as above anyone any recomendations or know what to stay away from im not looking for someting to cope with 1 million bhp just dont want stuff thatll fall apart and make the engine bay look shit

i bought this stuff off ebay, its really good quality, wet the wrap first and wrap it as tight as you can securing it with steel zip ties (cv boot ties)

im finding my manifold a right bitch to wrap!!!

 

the cable ties dont grip enough and fall off so i had to use some jubilee clips

 

but i cant get a jubilee clip around certain aprts...

you can get some good ty rap guns that'll really tighten it up, try an electrical wholesaler and use 'panduit' stainless ty's.

 

i could probably source some 12" ty's if you pm me

you need to wrap it round itself really tight to start, mine was that tight i could have probably used no ties at all, and mak esure the wrap is wet aswell as it shapes to the manifold a bit better

Thermowrap, says apply when damp, all the other stuff i have tried goes on well enough dry,

for tying off, I normally use .6 stainless safety locking wire and twisted off with safety pliers,
