stevepeanut Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 Just had a replacement radiator turn up this morning, so while fitting that I want to flush the cooling system. Is it best to just bang a hose in it? or use one of the flushing products? and would I be best doing the radiator before its put into the car?
john_3.0s Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 garden hose always works for me, make sure you do the heater matrix too. you will be amazed whats comes out! normally takes a good 5 mins until it starts to run clear. then take the hose off and flush it thorugh the other way and a load more crap will come out! bit messy tho, and the rust will stain your drive way so be careful where you do it!
