... think this may have been posted before but I just found it on the WWW

. It's a concept Ford Escort as styled by a design student at Uni.

If Ford actually took that design and mass-produced it, I would bet my Cortina on the fact that they'd have more orders for it than they'd know what to do with. :ykt:

I've loved the recent remake of loads of old cars, the mustang, the challenger, the mini, fiat 500, and i've been waiting for a mk1 or 2 escy to crop up, I really really like it! Lets make a petition to ford to make it, imagine havin that as the daily driver while your raw classic is used only for weekends!!

Ah if only! Wonder what ford would use to power it though? And knowing our luck they would make it FWD

I know! it'd be dulled down, FWD and a 1.4 economic wheezer!!

No what it needs Is independent rear suspension limited slip with the new duratec 2.3 with throttle bod's!! And then a RS version turbo'd!!

I sent Ford an email saying exactly that (quoted the beetle, mini and fiat 500) about a month or so back via Ford's website but haven't heard anything back. I assume the guy who did the designs sent them in.

Old skool styling with modern components underneath would be a winning combination.

Looks great, I'd buy one even if it was £20k (would have to go quick though at that price though)
