Dale Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 I'm yet to take my carpet up in mine because I'm scared of what's under there hope ya get it all sorted mate
Rick Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 make a neat fitting plate and clean up all your metal, cut out any more rot. just tack all the way around it clamping each bit before you go. Its literally point and click once you set your welder up, theres no need to run big welds on a small repair like that. just practice on some sheet steel running lines of tacks. thats how iv been learning and then moved onto spot welds and small runs aint as hard as you think mate but deffo get a no hands mask
antz Posted September 19, 2008 Author Report Posted September 19, 2008 cheers rick. im just waiting for payday next wednesday so i can get a decent mask and some metal! dug out the wedler today so its now in my line of sight so i cant forget
