kirk10 Posted September 29, 2008 Author Report Posted September 29, 2008 think ive sussed it out if i go for 8x15s i would be best getting an et00 or at most et10
you'll get 10s on that Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Hi In relation to the dimensions you provided you can havea 9" wheel with an offset of ET25 (I;ll explain....9" wheel with et0 will give you 5" inboard and 5" outboard so to bias it 1" inboard you need to move the wheel 25.4mm inwards) In relation to how much tyre room you have that will depend on the sectional width of your desided tyre. Once you have that you can use your offset value to determine how that tyre width is split. but you say you have 11" so you could well get a 10" wheel on that....if you have allowed the extra inch split betwwen the outside and the inside then the offset will remain the same and you need a 10" wheel with an offset of ET25 ( that would have a backspace dimension of 6.5") Once you have your tyre spec post it and I will clarify
kirk10 Posted September 30, 2008 Author Report Posted September 30, 2008 ok thanks mate made it a bit clearer for me think i will only go for an 8 inch wheel to be honest as i want to have fun in it and not brake anything with to much grip just looking to see what wheels i can go for now with that offset you have said et00 upto et25
kirk10 Posted September 30, 2008 Author Report Posted September 30, 2008 these should fit ok then 9x15 et 12 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Compomotive-9x15- ... dZViewItem or these at 8x15 et oo http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Revolution-8x15-E ... dZViewItem but it says group 4 wheels would i need diferant studs and what ever to fit those
Rick Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 i might get a pair of those wider ones for the back of mine. il sell you my other two if you need smaller ones for your front
kirk10 Posted September 30, 2008 Author Report Posted September 30, 2008 what offset were yours rick that i tried on the rear of mine
kevmk2 Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 My mate Icky has 8x15 compomotives on his tarmac arched mk2 and they are ET00 offset, but he has a shortened atlas on it, which means we had to use a small spacer on it, but he has room for a 9x15 Using 225.45.15 tyres
Rick Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 what offset were yours rick that i tried on the rear of mine no idea but theyd be perfect for your fronts
kirk10 Posted September 30, 2008 Author Report Posted September 30, 2008 yes deffo intrested in the 2 mate then could go halfs on a set of 4 on ebay if you wanted just need to make sure they will fit tho go and measure or see what offset they are on yours as they was tight on the rear of mine with the atlas
Rick Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 you need the more dish at the back that font mine are about half n half. no idea what numbers mean il have a look later when im there
you'll get 10s on that Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Hi Again The 9" Compos on Bay are ET-12.....That's a NO NO based on the dimensions you provided These wheels will be approx 10" overall and will extend out from the mounting face 5.5" Beware. If you have metric studs you can get conversion wheelnuts to suit Grp4 wheels direct from Compomotive In relation to the 8" wheels at ET0 they will have 4.5" of wheel outboard.....Hope that helps
kirk10 Posted October 1, 2008 Author Report Posted October 1, 2008 so these should fit then but wont have much dish to them 8" wheels at ET0 they will have 4.5" of wheel outboard http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Revolution-8x15-E ... dZViewItem
you'll get 10s on that Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Hi Again If you have the 4.5" space you#ll be OK Good luck
