Virtual memory????

I keep getting a little window open on my pc saying virtual memory full.

 

Now i know not alot about pc's! So can someone explain how i empty or clear this virtual memory?

 

Iam on windows xp and iam an idiot so please keep it simple!

right click my computer,

go to properties

click advanced

click performance settings

go to advanced tab

click change in virtual memory settings

set the initial size higher

mine is set to 1334 if i remember rightly
