Paul F Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 I'm not sure whether it's a good idea to underseal my car once it's done... It will only be used in good weather, and probably do about 5000 miles per year... what I'm thinking of doing is painting all the underside in something like white hammerite before it goes to be sprayed, then the underside will be the same colour (riviera blue) once the car is sprayed, but slightly more protected...has anyone ever done this or can anyone offer any advice? Cheers, Paul.
cyrix Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Prime it, Stone chip it then paint it the same colour as the car. Dont just paint it asi t will get chipped and start to rust in no time. Hammerite isnt as durable as most people think, Stone chip has a bit of give in it though.
