I started off with a Mk1 Capri at 17 - a guy used to come into the country pub over the road from my house fairly regularly in the summer, jokingly asked if he would sell it and ended up buying it. I did a bit of work on it and sold it back to him about 8/9 years ago. No idea why it appealed to me really, it just did. I ended up with my Mk3 Cortina 2dr as I can't really afford something 1960/70's American and the Mk3 is about as close to a Muscle Car in terms of body styling as we got in the UK.

I sit at my desk, eat while I work. To be honest I have never had a tools down kind of job where its considered normal to sit around and do nothing during breaks.

Meh, you will be fine, at least they caught yours early. It really does take it out of you though.

Nasty had it last year, I went to the doctors 3 times to be told I had flu and to go home and rest (over a period of two weeks) when it got to the stage i could hardly walks a few steps without being able to breathe I went to hospital and got some proper treatment. Was in for a while on various fluids, I am sure you will be fine, it mainly kills the old ......... on no wait

Happend to Woolworths in America a few years ago, think Wal-Mart bought them (Suprise!) The consumer has so much choice these days, with more specialist shops carrying bigger ranges it was inevitable really, if you want a CD for example you wouldn't rush to Woolworths you would probably go to HMV/whatever instead. They do have a shit hot pick & mix section however

Handles ok, shit slow unless you really rev the balls off it, be ready for LOTS of annoying little problems with it!!
-
In the current economic climate, I would say you should accept. Shit always falls downwards if you catch my drift.

Met Akerfeldt a few times after gigs before they go huge and were able to fill big venues. Both in the UK and in Sweden. Not been too keen on the more recent stuff, I started seeing them live around the My Arms, Your Hearse album. I think they kinda peaked around blackwater park and have been off on some weird tangent ever since. Sad to see Peter Lindgren go too really. Anyhow, I digress, should still be an enjoyable gig, he knows how to entertain a crowd.

The worst was probably a Datsun Cherry.

I've been playing for about 10 years now, lessons would help you greatly. I never took lessons properly but around a year ago I started to take lessons mainly to increase my playing speed, the guy i use/used is based in Sedgefield, he is a bit of a shread-head (but if the likes of Vai, Satriani, Yngwie, Lukather are your thing then he is definately your guy) Maybe possibly have a mint Epiphone SG for sale, I rewired it about a year ago with decent componants only downside is the string action is quite high as I was using it mainly for slide.

Stopping the inner wings flexing perhaps on a car that doesnt use struts, lol

What exatly was the strut brace doing on a Mk5 Cortina? lol

Feck knows, the supply comes from my neighbours house, well it runs around the back of his house then along mine so must stop on the way. I guess it must be an overhead supply unless its been converted somewhere further back down the chain.

I am wanting to change the DB in my house as its pretty old. I currently have an PME supply into an ELCB then into the DB. The electrician suggested a modern DB protected by an RCD which is what I wanted as I cant get the current db to trip which is slighly worrying. (Socket got soaked in water recently and didnt blow a fuse, just melted slightly!) The thing I am concerned about is his suggestion of using an Earth stake for the earth, if the supply is PME i would expect an earth to be included, I know the earth and neutral are the same on these but surely I should have an earth point where the incoming cable terminates?

Dont mind them. My mate had a couple of the instrumental tracks used at his wedding earlier this year.

Zero chance, the Escort wont win, even with a pinto. I think people are seeing things a little rose tinted, lol.

Did that with a bit of cloth in a VW beetle engine, it did actually come back out the exhaust on fire, however they measure the clearances on them engines in inches

I like VW/Audi's also. Own and have modified a MKIV Golf TDI, just over 200hp, sorted suspension, Porsche brakes among other bits. Do 20-30k a year, so got to have a reliable economic motor else I would just use my Mk3 Cortina.

My dad restored a Kettle a while ago, his was I think "Maui Blue" cost him a fortune in new bits, I think the exhausts and seat set him back over £1500 7/8 years ago. The weight of the thing is ridiculous. I vaguely remember rebuilding a GT550 engine with him also. I had an Yamaha RD250DX a few years back and currently own an RD350YPVS, probably should sell it as I doubt I will ride again (mate lost an arm in a bike accident)

Funnily enough I am on with tidying up my new garage, going to brick up the window and fit a steel security door this week at some point. Just bought the house, mainly for the garage, its about 3/4's of a double garage wide and two and a half times as long as a normal garage!

I dunno, the body looks too big, doesnt really suit the chop.

IT Tech Support (Mobile) Minimum wage and I was expected to drive all over the UK, was shit.

Aye, wasn't aimed at you, you know the type, have to have a new registration car, holidays every year etc etc. As for the North/South house price thing, the cost of living up in the north is considerably lower. Only downside is we still have dragons up here, no water and TV's have not made it this far yet.
