Probably the only style I could stand one on the capri, If I had to have one. Seen a Pug 405 one on a Mk2 which looked suprisingly good.

Prime it, Stone chip it then paint it the same colour as the car. Dont just paint it asi t will get chipped and start to rust in no time. Hammerite isnt as durable as most people think, Stone chip has a bit of give in it though.

Started on this last night, Cant imagine I will find any rot, really, Ive got a hole to patch on the gearbox tunnel, I ripped it open when i got it beached on a high kerb with a drop either side. Ive attacked it with a cup brush in the grinder, which has successfully removed the thick of it from the floor of the car and onto me. however ive got like a sticky kind of messl eft plastered to the underside of the car, If i spend ages with the cup I can bring it back to metal, It tends to judt smudge as opposed to remove it though. Do you use some kind of solvent to remove whats left after you are removed the thick of it. Wish the car was on its side. Could have it done in an afternoon.
