  1. I wouldn't say my opinons are narrow minded, people are living on the limit of what they can afford with little slack to take up the difference, it's not a good situation for anyone but what can you do? If my comments offend then I apologise.
  2. No, I have a £135,000 mortgage. I live with my partner, she is a teacher, I work in IT. No kids, maybe shortly, I personally wouldn't want to bring any kids into this kind of world but thats an argument for another day. Joint incomes around £55,000, monthly outgoings are around £1400, do the math.......yes, things are going up in price, but we have plenty of slack in our budget, thus, I am not feeling the effects of the "Credit Crunch" currently. Anything else?
  3. Depends what you mean? I have a penchant for cutting Scimitars up if thats what you mean?
  4. Well the Mk1 capri never had the expansion tank and vented to the ground, nor is it a pressurised container it vents into anyhow.
  5. I am sure I will at some point, thanks for the thought
  6. To be honest at this exact moment in time no, I am sick of seeing things on the news about people being in "Poverty" and the "Credit crunch" The only people who are really suffering are the low earners who overstretched themselves when credit was being handed out to people who really shouldn't be trusted with it. Its shit that commodities are rising so fast but thats what happens when a country goes into recession........
  7. A cock?
  8. Buy a house for £279k in London? you may have to settle for a bedsit.
  9. lol, my girlfriend is a teacher, she is a fairly easy going secondary school art teacher so doesn't seem to get much grief! I don't think I could do it for what they get paid (21-25,000k for a long time)
  10. If anyone wants to rob me feel free, just make it next week once I have moved house The new garage is about a meter narrower but over twice the length.
  11. Got a Gibson SG and an Ibanez 777LNG signed by Vai.....
  12. I have never actually removed a CV joint on a Ford, I have done a few on VW/Audi's (Knock off joints as you cannot see the circlip)
  13. Aye, its a right mess on to do, doesn't matter how strong you are once its lubed up its almost impossible to force over the cone lol. I wish you luck!
  14. Outer joint? Cut the oil one off, buy a stretch boot, buy/borrow a special cone for sliding the boot over the joint. Reverse boot, put cone on the end of the CV joint slide boot over, fill with grease etc etc. If you want to remove the joint, belt it with a hammer until it comes off the shaft, you will need to replace the locating circlip on the driveshaft if you do this ideally. But dont pull the inner joint out by accident.
  15. 3.0 Xpack 2.8 Special, lol My old Mk1

  19. Use it as a large paperweight? Then fit something more powerful and a quater of the weight. I love the sound, ive got one in my cortina, but its a waste of time tuning them, given what else is out there. Mines got Uprated head/cam and 390 Holley, seems to go quite well.
  20. Bill Bailey and Lee Evans for me. Saw Bill Bailey on Saturday just gone, was excellent!

    BMW driver rant

How a 1.1 fiesta can out accelerate any BMW i've no idea, even the bottom of the range ones. The Whole BMW/Audi driver thing is a some kind of urban legend lol, I do 30k a year on the roads and cant say I've ever noticed it.
  22. Had this conversation with a guy when we were in town getting lunch watching an old guy reverse out of a space, he must have been on the limiter the noise the car was making. Not a selling point as far as I am concerned.
  23. 155mph in my dads BMW 760Li. Obviously would have gone a lot quicker, but its limited. Rarely see them on the road, then again I'm not suprised with that kind of engine size!
  24. Its a 1987 Ibanez Jem 777LNG, they were all signed at the factory by Steve Vai too Pretty damn rare as they were a limited run (777 made)
  25. Barring the OSF's I also spend a lot of time workingo n friends cars etc. Other than that, I play guitar.
