I guess the best thing you can do is leave negative feedback, so any future bidders are aware it could happen to them.

Unless it's a classified ad with a fixed price then, being an auction site, I would assume it's the responsibility of the prospective buyer to place/offer a bid.

I recently had a cat 2 immobiliser installed in my mk2 Escort, and ever since the installation the battery light and oil pressure light aren't coming on at all. I've checked everything, been back to the company who told me to contact the engineer that they sent out to install it. I've done that and he can't think why it would be happening. I'm going to go back to the company tomorrow and ask them to sort it out, but was just wondering if anyone on here would know what's causing this issue? Thanks in advance, Paul

I bought an 05 Focus in 2006 that was a Cat D, I think it must've had the engine out to repair it as it had a couple of things wrong with it (fan didn't come on and the pipes for the windscreen washer fluid were round the wrong way, button for the front sent it to the rear and vice versa), but they were both simple fixes, and £4k for a 12 month old car with 11k miles was pretty damn good. For the same money at the time I was looking at cars 3-6 years old. As it hadn't reached the age for it's first MOT, a lot of insurance companies wanted to see an engineer's report before giving me a quote, however Adrian Flux gave me a good deal without the need for one. Once it had it's first MOT the premium went down quite a bit as I was able to shop around a lot more. Buying it was obviously a big risk, but when is buying a S/H car not a risk?

Make sure you check the link in the Retards Club group as I think there might be a few versions of the song and everyone has to buy the right one for it to work!

A lot of my friends have complained about this - but I think it needs bringing into the real world for a second... This TV show is all about generating revenue for Simon Cowell's company. He has turned the A&R process from an expense into a profit, which is a very clever move. Why do you think it's now been dragged out over two nights?! I would bet my balls that he knows exactly what the phone vote results are prior to them being announced, I also don't think it's a coincedence that he's always the last person to vote out of the judges. The X Factor is good television, but it is so far removed from good music it's unreal. It doesn't surprise me one bit that the twins are still there. The X Factor has absolutely nothing close integrity when it comes to good music, or picking the artists that are the "best", it's just about middle of the road, lowest common denominator weekend evening TV, so what reason is there to keep Lucie there? I also agree with the point that Simon probably also saw Lucie as a threat against his acts. It seems that those complaining about it seem to think it's 1988, Simon Cowell works for Sub Pop Records and he's turned down the offer for signing Nirvana and signed New Kids On The Block instead!

Thanks both for your replies. It's a 1980 mk2. Have swapped over the plugs that go to the fuse box and there is now an ignition light! I think all terminals probably need a good clean up and I'll clean up the earthing points as you suggested. Thanks again

I've got a bit of a wiring issue on my Escort... I've put the loom back in after a full strip down, I've got an ST170 engine (ECU not wired up yet), I've wired everything up that I can think of, checked all the earths and not much is happening. I can get the engine to crank from the key, but with regards to any of the other accessories it's a bit rubbish! The front left indicator is constantly on when in ignition position 2, the hazards work at the front, but the n/s rear brake light and reversing flashes instead of the rear indicators. And that's it! No wipers, no other lights, no interior fan! I also don't have any ignition light. I know it's probably not one simple issue to fix and that I'll probably need to get someone to look at it, but can anyone offer me any advice? The only adaptations I've made to the loom is extending the alternator and water temp gauge wiring. I've got an alternator from a Fiesta diesel - this had the same plug as on the original Escort loom, I assume that shouldn't make a difference? Thanks

I never understand this logic that if you're born in this country then you're automatically entitled to a pat on the back. Nationalism often results in people taking credit for accomplishments they had no part in whatsoever. "We" fought for this country etc... I have never, nor do I ever ever ever intend to "fight" for this or any other country - does that mean I should be shipped out?? What it really boils down to is that there are too many people being born. I really don't think anyone would give a crap which nationalities are living in which countries if the population was culled by about 4 billion! Think of how big our houses/garages could be! Newborns are outweighing deaths at 8000 per hour, so I think there should be some law whereby if you really have to have a baby that badly you have to kill 5 or 6 people just to balance things out Aaaanyway, BNP on Question Time tonight, should be interesting!

I'm about to sort out the fueling on my ST170-engined Mk2 Escort and was wondering... Can I use injection spec rubber fuel hose and run it UNDERNEATH the car? Someone at Burtons mentioned something about not passing an SVA, but will that apply? I know copper pipe can be used, but I'd rather use rubber if I can get away with it. Thanks!

Times change, cities evolve... I personally don't believe something deserves existance just because "it's old" or "it's always been there".

...and? What's the issue with that? Certainly makes no difference to me whether I see a church, mosque or synagogue... They're all equally irrelevant. But I guess people need somewhere to go to practice their quaint little traditions...
