Lukey48screamer Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Ive seen that plenty of cars have had their rs wheels re-coloured to match their paintwork like escort-tec darrans car for example but can anyone suggest who to get to do this? As its not a wheel refurb that I want and also I want the polished sections on the RS wheels to remain untouched as they are freshly diamond-cut. . .
antz Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 i did my old capri lasers by hand with a tin of cellulose paint and any over run i quickly wiped off with a cloth being very careful.
Lukey48screamer Posted October 9, 2008 Author Report Posted October 9, 2008 Did u strip the old paint first and how did they turn out mate? Did they last very well afterwards?
Retro-gone. Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 mask the spoke edges off with grease, carefully applied by finger, use tape to mask of rim, dont strip the old paint, scotchbrite it to get a key, prime, then paint, bobs yer uncle
Rick Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 use etch/acid primer too as paint dont take too well to ally
